Behind the scenes of SITC it's just actually two full-time staff who are remotely-based, working from home: our creator and founder Shanna, assisted by our admin / tech / accounts / moral supporter and all 'round legend, Flip - who we call our Magical Unicorn.

On a given day you'll find these two both slaving away lovingly and simply ''doing what they can with what they have'' - the motto SITC lives by. 

​

Shan's background as a photographer, journalist, graphic designer and recovered alcoholic (all self-taught skills) equip her well for the mammoth task she embarked upon 8 years ago; while Flip's innate and inimitable capacity for details and systems (stuff that make Shan shudder in her sleep) make her the perfect wing-man and support person.

​

Tim Whan (Shanna's husband) is a director; and an leveller for all - and we like to call him the 'founder of the founder'. Our other director, Matty, is currently a silent director, so to speak, as he's at maximum capacity - and, we're on the hunt for another magical human to take position 4.

​

Critical and non-negotiable team players who are key to the mental health support of our founder and self-confessed ''complex human'' are two blue ''healers'' and the well-loved mascots Fleabag & Mallee-Girl. You'll see these gals feature often. Here at SITC we are big believers of dogs in the role of the lives of humans. Fleabag is 15 years young and doing great, and Mallee-Girl is a small blue cyclone learning her manners to take the top job some day.

We have plans (and pretty serious need now, too) for a couple of extra staff. As with all these things - it comes down to an issue of sustainability, funding, and finance.
